for the development of IR and THz nanotomography

In the framework of the ERC Starting Grant TERATOMO, the Nanooptics Group at the Nanoscience Research Center CIC nanoGUNE in San Sebastian (Spain) is looking for outstanding and enthusiastic young researchers, both theoreticians and experimentalists:

Postdoctoral researchers and PhD-students (experimentalists)

for developing and applying near-field techniques for nanoscale-resolved 3D-imaging with IR and THz light. A background in scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscopy (s-SNOM), scanning probe microscopy, IR/THz technology and/or nanofabrication (FIB, EBL) is appreciated.

Postdoctoral researchers (theoreticians)

for developing and applying algorithms for three-dimensional near-field optical image reconstruction. A background in scattering and inverse scattering theory is appreciated.

Postdoctoral appointments are initially for two years with possible renewal up to a maximum of five years.

TERATOMO is the acronym for Near-field Spectroscopic Nanotomography at Infrared and Terahertz frequencies and aims on the development of novel microscopy techniques for three-dimensional imaging of nanostructures with IR and THz light.
