Post-doctoral position at the new start-up company Graphenea
Graphenea, a joint venture of private investors and the Nanoscience Cooperative Research Center nanoGUNE Consolider (www.nanogune.eu), is currently looking for a talented
(Chemist / Physicist / Materials Scientist)
Graphenea, which is based at the nanoGUNE facilities in San Sebastian, Basque Country (Spain), has been created with the mission of developing graphene-based process and product technology, as well as conducting related research activities. Graphenea utilizes nanoGUNE’s state-of-the-art characterization and nanofabrication research infrastructure.
The position holder, working closely with Graphenea’s scientific director and the research team, will conduct research activities related to graphene synthesis and graphene-based technologies.
The position requires a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, and/or Materials Science. Candidates should have experience in the preparation of graphene or related materials, with a preferred expertise in the operation of Chemical Vapour Deposition equipment. Organic chemistry knowledge and particle/platelet synthesis experience will be taken into consideration. Previous research experience in an industrial environment will also be valued. Proficiency in spoken and written English is compulsory; knowledge of Spanish is not a requirement.
