CIC03_Master_Water on the nanoscale

The water inside us is mainly confined in nanospaces. We model this with the help of nanomaterials such as carbon (graphene, graphite, nanotubes, activated, amorphous), metal wires, polymer fibers, protein fibers. Our observation methods need to work on the scale of atoms; so we use electron microscopy (“environmetal” technique in high pressure water vapor), and scanning (“atomic”) force microscopy.

This project is suitable for a physicist or chemist with interest in interdisciplinary work.
