Research

We are studying non-adiabatic processes involved in the radiation damage of condensed phases of matter using first principle methods. Our main focus is understanding the energy loss to electronic degrees of freedom in the low-velocity (<1 a.u.) regime. Along with simulations we are working to improve upon the existing time-dependet density functional theory (TD-DFT) implimentations to achieve better efficiency and accuracy.
