Designing materials at the nanoscale
We review our recent work on designing materials at the nanoscale addressing some of the challenges in information and communication, lighting and energy technologies. These include semiconductor nanocrystals, synthetic quantum systems hosting macroscopic quantum states, graphene quantum dots for carbononics and quantum circuits based on electron spin and valley in 2D materials.
