In the history of physics the observation of natural phenomena has been one of the most important incentives to explore new physics. This is particularly true for neutrino physics, still one of the most intriguing particles in the standard model. The current experimental effort, the role they play in cosmology, and the recent discovery of ultra high energy astrophysical neutrinos by neutrino telescopes such as IceCube, make neutrinos physics an outstanding scenario to push the boundaries of our fundamental physics knowledge. In this talk I will present a review of the field with the latest relevant results and discuss what can we learn in the near future.
