NanoGUNE is searching for outstanding early-stage and junior researchers interested in applying for a research fellowship within the "La Caixa" funding programs. The JuniorLeader program call for postdoctoral researchers is now open, and the INPhINIT program call for predoctoral students will be open soon.

JunioLeader is a new postdoctoral fellowships program launched by “la Caixa” and aimed at hiring excellent researchers—of any nationality—who wish to continue their research career in Spanish territory on any discipline. Sponsored by Obra Social ”la Caixa”, the objectives of this program are to foster high-quality, innovative research in Spain and to support the best scientific talents by providing them with an attractive, competitive environment in which to conduct excellent research. A total of 30 fellowships will be offered to researchers with a minimum of 3 years of experience after obteining their PhD degree, 20 of which will be awarded to researchers that will conduct a research project at accredited centers with the Severo Ochoa or María de Maeztu distinction of excellence.

INPhINIT is a new doctoral fellowship program devoted to attracting international early-stage researchers to the top Spanish research centers awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness ("Severo Ochoa" centers of excellence and "Maria de Maeztu" units of excellence) and the Spanish Ministry of Health ("Carlos III centres of excellence"). INPhINIT is promoted by the "la Caixa" Foundation with the aim of supporting the best scientific talent and fostering innovative and high-quality research in Spain by recruiting outstanding international students and offering them an attractive and competitive environment for conducting research of excellence. The program relies on the European Commission's support through the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions - COFUND program to recruit a larger number of researchers and achieve a broader impact, as well as to further pursue the highest standards for research training.

NanoGUNE was recently recognized with the Maria de Maeztu distinction of excellence and, therefore, encourages interested candidates to contact nanoGUNE's Group Leaders to explore the possibilities of working in a research proposal for the JunioLeader and INPhINIT programs.
