Microwave Interferometers for Sensor Application

The presentation is focused on microwave interferometry being an alternative to widely used RF measurements based on frequency conversion. In contrast, the interferometers allow for a measurement done directly at the microwave frequency, with no need for applying mixers, or other active devices that may increase nonlinearity or noise. The presentation will show fundamentals leading to designing interferometer measurement system with uncertainty distribution optimized specifically for sensors. Theoretical investigation as well as working examples will be given.
