The National Meeting of Physics Students (ENEF), the largest annual event that brings together young people from all over Spain who study this subject, will take place in Bilbao from 21 to 25 July.
Organised by the Student Group of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics (RSEF), the programme of the event includes a one-day session in Donostia / San Sebastián with the participation of more than 170 young students.
On Wednesday, 23 July, at 12:00h a round table on quantum technologies hosted by Basque Quantum (BasQ) and open to the university community will be held at Carlos Santamaria center's auditorium.
The round table will address topics such as Basque Country's strategy in quantum technologies and the present and future of these technologies. The round table will include the participation of:
Javier Aizpurua, scientific director of Basque Quantum (Ikerbasque, DIPC) Jorge Casanova, researcher specialised in quantum sensing (EHU) Josu Etxezarreta, researcher specialised in quantum computing and quantum information theory (TECNUN) Eduardo Jacob, researcher specialised in quantum communications (EHU) Moderated by Aran García-Lekue, director of strategic projects at DIPC (Ikerbasque, DIPC)* the round table will be in Spanish
In addition, a series of presentations and visits to the research centers CIC nanoGUNE, CFM, DIPC and the EHU's Faculty of Chemistry have also been scheduled.
