NanoGUNE is a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) and is recognized by the Spanish Research Agency as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.

The research project encompasses the study of the magnetotransport properties (magnetization, magnetoresistance and Hall effect) of novel flat band systems and 2D topological (Dirac and Weyl semimetals) materials under hydrostatic pressure.

The candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team involving experimentalists at NanoGUNE and the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) and theoreticians at the University of Santiago de Compostela and will acquire a broad knowledge in solid state physics and advanced nanofabrication of devices (thin film deposition, electron-beam lithography, etching).

The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in Physics or in a similar field and meet the following requirements:

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Self-motivated and a team player willing to coordinate the research in a particular topic.

Although not compulsory, the following points will be considered:

  • Previous knowledge in 2D Materials
