CIC nanoGUNE obtains three Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship projects

01/03/2024

The Cooperative Research Center nanoGUNE has achieved three Marie-Sklodowska Curie Individual Fellowship projects in the 2023 call, obtaining 624.071,52€ in total. The objective of this European programme is to support the education and the professional development of postdoctoral researchers by offering them a contract for 12 to 36 months including personnel recruitment and research expenses. This is an initiative of the European Commission inside the Horizon Europe program, and it funds researchers of any nationality with a maximum of eight years of research experience.

Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowship Programs

Julien Brehin from the Nanodevices group is one of the researchers that has received a European Fellowship, with the project “Rashba Effect-induced non-volatile ferroelectric control of spin-orbit coupling in Two-dimensional materials” (REVOLT), with a 2-year duration. In addition, Suzanne Lancaster will join the Nanodevices group to carry out  the project “Efficient Stable Multilevel Ferroelectric Tunnel Junctions Enabled by Layered 2D van der Waals Heterostructures” (ESTRELLA), for which she has been granted another 2 years fellowship. Finally, the researcher María Tenorio has been selected with the project “Molecular Quantum Magnets on graphene as novel spin qubit platforms” (MolQuMag), that will be partitly developed within the Nanoimaging group under a 3 years Global Fellowship grant.

The Marie-Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships are a great opportunity for international researchers holding a PhD who want to acquire new skills in different disciplines and sectors, enhancing creativity and innovation.
