Hassan Ahmoum

In 2022 I obtained my PhD in Physics of materials for energy conversion at the Moulay Ismail University of Morocco, during my PhD I worked on engineering materials for photovoltaic, thermoelectric and spintronic applications, where I used density functional theory and Monte Carlo techniques to simulate the impact of point defects on the physical properties of materials (oxide, sulphide and nitride). Also, I received several scholarships to visit international institutions such as international centre for theoretical physics of Italy (ICTP), The National University of Malaysia (UKM) and Northeastern University of China (NEU) to perform theoretical & experimental investigations. Since January 2023 I’m a postdoctoral in the Theory Group of Prof. Emilio Artacho at CIC nanoGUNE working on Quantum magnetism in novel graphene nanostructures: theory and experiment.
