Optimizing Functional Coating Adhesion on Polymeric Substrates for Biomedical Applications

Project Description

This Master’s thesis focuses on improving the adhesion of functional coatings on polymer substrates for biomedical applications. The project involves the use of vapor-phase thin film deposition technologies to prepare coatings with tailored properties and the optimization of the coating-substrate interface. The resulting materials will be characterized using spectroscopic and microscopic techniques to investigate their chemical composition, structure, and morphology. Functional testing will be carried out to assess coating adhesion, durability, and performance under conditions relevant to biomedical use.
