MML 2028
Welcome to MML 2028
13th International Symposium on Metallic Multilayers
The first edition of this gathering of researchers took place in Kyoto, Japan in 1993. Since then, the International Symposium on Metallic Multilayers has been held every 2-3 years in cities across the globe: Cambridge (1995), Vancouver (1998), Aachen (2001), Boulder (2004), Perth (2007), Berkeley (2010), Kyoto (2013), Uppsala (2016), Madrid (2019), Seoul (2023) and Leeds (2025).
The MML series brings together scientists working on metallic multilayers and heterostructures to share their latest research results and discoveries, focusing mainly on new developments in metallic, magnetic, and superconducting heterostructures yielding novel physical phenomena, often emerging from interfacial properties, as well as applications arising from those new effects.
We are pleased to host the 13th edition of the MML in the beautiful city of Donostia / San Sebastian, located in in the Basque Country, on the north coast of Spain. Famous for its cuisine, its beaches and Parisian-inspired architecture, Donostia is also a city of science, ranking among the top 200 scientific cities in the world and 4th in Spain. Join us and take it all in from 26-30 June 2028!
