Liquids on viruses

The adsorption of water at viruses is relevant during the transmission, when virus particles move from the cell that produced them to a new organism. For respiratory viruses, the air humidity, but also temperature and coadsorbents (salts, proteins) determine the "survival". We work on structural analysis and wetting, and on nanoscale mechanics.
