Saito will discuss the future research directions of the RIKEN Accelerator-driven Neutron Source (RANS), highlighting recent developments in compact neutron source technology, emerging scientific opportunities, and the growing role of compact facilities in complementing large-scale neutron research infrastructures for applications.

Professor Takehiko Saito is Team Director of the Neutron Frontier Research Team at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Photonics, Chief Scientist at the High Energy Nuclear Physics Laboratory of RIKEN, Group Leader of the HypHI group at the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, and Professor at Saitama University.
