Evolgene

Evolgene, nanoGUNE´s fourth spin-off company, was launched in September 2014. The mission of this company is to make use of the knowledge and expertise in ancestral sequence reconstruction (ASR). Using this technology, Evolgene has developed a novel process to produce cellulose nanocrystals, a biomaterial with outstanding properties and many industrial and biomedical applications. Furthermore, the company offers R&D services focused on the design, selection, and characterization of ancestral enzymes on demand.
